Testing Without Structure Is Just Noise
Most A/B tests are structured incorrectly — running too many variables simultaneously, ending before statistical significance, and failing to implement learnings systematically. Proper A/B testing is a discipline, not a tactic. When executed correctly, it compounds: each winning variant becomes the new control, and the performance floor rises continuously.
A/B Testing Protocol
- Test one variable at a time — creative, headline, CTA, audience, or format. Never multiple simultaneously
- Run tests to statistical significance (95% confidence minimum) before declaring a winner
- Document every test result — wins and losses are both useful future reference
- Implement learnings as the new baseline and build the next test from there
